A/N: Written for a st_xi_kink_meme prompt: "True love is when a guy helps you sew up your torn asshole." Let's have this with Kirk/McCoy. Find a way to make it fluffy, and you will be my new god. Cracky sort of premise with a touch of h/c and romance thrown in for good measure.

Work tomorrow. We are, of course, expecting snow and ice, so I have packed a bag just in case. I would much prefer not to be stuck sleeping at work tomorrow night, but it is winter and snow happens.

I made chickpea spinach soup for dinner tonight and ate it with yummy french bread. So tasty.

The GF/DF cake that I made for my mother was a HUGE hit and now my father has requested that I make the same one for his birthday.

Happy Holidays and a Joyful New Year :-D

I finally saw Red yesterday. It was entertaining and completely over the top (somehow more so than even the previews had led me to believe). I will likely buy it on DVD when it is released.

Karl Urban was hot and had the tough job of taking himself and his character seriously while the movie around him was madcap. Helen Mirren is absolutely phenomenal and I love her (love love love!), and Bruce Willis and Mary Louise Parker won me over. Morgan Freeman, John Malkovich, and Brian Cox were hilarious and quirky. I liked the "caper" aspect to the movie, although it did take me a while to settle in and just accept the movie for what it was: funny, quirky, ridiculous fun.

I have a short shift at work this afternoon (What was I thinking?!?! Oh, right, I was thinking that I want to not be broke) and am waiting to make sure I won't be canceled. I've sorted my piled up mail, organized my bills-to-be-paid, washed and folded some of my pile of laundry, and broke down cardboard boxes and took them out for recycling. In short, I feel like I've actually accomplished something. I also have begun a recipe for pomegranate truffles that sounds divine. The filling is now hardening in the fridge. We shall see how it turns out tonight when I get back and finish it.

My goal is to have a draft of my space_wrapped fic finished by Friday. Is anyone available and interested in taking a look at it or even doing a full beta? Star Trek, Kirk/McCoy, humor, unknown length (not long though).
