Thoughts for scientist parents made me laugh. Nearly out loud, even.

The stash

So in preparation for my upcoming VACATION (woot woot!) I did a quick check of my route and have found the point wherein I will most likely lose my will to live/drive. At one point, the directions tell me to take a certain road and follow it for just under 300 miles.

All one road.

That, of course, is just one part of the route.

All me driving. On my own. Hating every passing sign and fellow motorist. *shudder*

So in preparation for hopefully preserving my sanity, I have been storing up a stash of yet-to-be-listened-to podfic to keep me going on my journey. Anyone have any podfic suggestions for me to add to the stash? Rec me your favorites, please, and I'll add 'em if I don't have them yet. My main fandoms are: Star Trek XI and Sherlock, but I've also listened to a bit of Firefly/Serenity, Doctor Who/Torchwood, BtVS, and others. Even if it's in a fandom I'm not familiar with, if the story is the type that even one of the uninitiated can appreciate what's going on/like the story and characters, please rec that too!

I would appreciate warnings for dub/noncon, deathfic, and extreme emotional wrenchingness (totally a word, dudes) just in case. I have a tough time with those topics, and would prefer not to be caught unprepared while driving at high speeds in unknown areas. (I was once completely unprepared for a star trek deathfic and wound up crying in my kitchen while washing dishes. No dishes were harmed in this story, mind you. This is also not a criticism for such fic - hallmark commercials have been known to make me cry, so it's just something I do - I'd just like to be ready for it)
