Sep. 26th, 2010 01:21 amGot my oil changed and brakes checked. Good news - brakes are all fine, no need for massive expense of new ones now - yay! Course this means my hesitation regarding traveling to see friends this weekend was unfounded, but it was worth waiting just in case.
Was considering going to a renaissance faire tomorrow but will likely delay the trip so I can get stuff done around my messy house. My 12-16-12 shift schedule has allowed me to pile up an alarming number of chores and rather than do many of them today, instead I spent much of the day with my mother (far more fun). Regardless I may post costume descriptions later on for assistance in choosing my garb when I actually go to the faire.
I have willingly decided to go to a conference on one of my precious days off - what exactly was I thinking?
I want to WRITE things!
My poor sweet aloe plant is not looking very healthy at all right now and I am sad. It was a cutting from a friend's plant and I'd hate to kill the darn thing. I think I've been spoiled by my lovely jade plant. Plants that prefer to be ignored are my types of plants! My basil is looking pretty good and seems to have taken root rather nicely, though I had been neglecting picking off the flowering bits (as I was told to do my its former "mother") until this morning. My fingers smelled like basil for an hour - so yummy.
