Title: Dare to Linger
Fandom: Star Trek Reboot
Pairing: Scotty/Chapel
Rating: NC-17
Warnings: Sexual situations (PWP), language, haste
Disclaimer: I do not own Star Trek. Sadly.
Summary: Scotty and Christine don't have much time, but they'll make what they have worth it nonetheless.
A/N: This fic was written for a [ profile] st_xi_kink_meme prompt: Scotty/Chapel: desperation/hurrying/not much time. I haven't written a real het sex scene in... a long time, so... keep that in mind, I guess? Hope it doesn't hurt your brain or grammar soul?

The format for this week's [ profile] bridge2sickbay was a bingo card. Two, actually. By the end of the fest we'd completed one full-card bingo and much of the second. Here are my contributions:

Prompt: Kirk - I got ya
Best Man, Kirk, Spock/Uhura, PG )

Prompt: McCoy - Please state the nature of the medical emergency.
Things to Come, Gen, PG-13 )

Prompt: Mulan

Prompt: Cupcake – Cupcakes
Cupcakes for Cupcake, Gen, PG )

Prompt: Does anyone remember when we were explorers?
A Better Way To Debrief, Ensemble, PG )

Prompt: The Quick and the Dead
High Noon, Gen, PG )

Prompt: Scotty - Mechaphilia
Protecting His Girl, Scotty/Enterprise, PG-13 )

Prompt: Gangsters
An Offer You Cannot Refuse, Mirror, Gen, PG )

I didn't post my drabbles from the last two [ profile] bridge2sickbay fests that I participated in, so I'm going to fix that now.

From 12/5/10, the theme was "Texts From Last Night"

Prompt: Chapel, Gaila - I feel like I should put "don't judge me" in the special instructions for the pizza guy.
Proper Tipping Procedure, Chapel/Gaila, PG-13 )

Prompt: Pike, Kirk - I just want to let you know it was a unanimous decision that we would eat you first if we ever turned into cannibals, we figured with all the bacon you eat you may taste like it. It's a chance we are willing to take with your life...don't forget that we love you
Plans and Schemes, Pike/Kirk/McCoy, PG-13 )

Prompt: Kirk, McCoy - Nah, I'm just going to keep fucking him until he realizes we're perfect for each other.
Beating Around the Bush... If You Know What I Mean, Kirk/McCoy, Uhura, R )

Prompt: Kirk, McCoy - I have only been in this city 3 nights and there are already 4 bars I can never go back to again.
Pull Me In, Kirk/McCoy pre-slash, PG-13 )

From 12/12/10, with the theme "perfumes" comes...

Prompt: Scotty, Gaila - Secret Moments
Secret Moments, Scotty/Gaila, G )

Prompt: Kirk, McCoy, Joanna - Marshmallow
Sticky Fingers, Kirk/McCoy, Joanna, PG )

So I spent my morning being cranky about something that I cannot do a darn thing to fix until Tuesday, but stayed cranky for several hours regardless. Then I spent 3 hours cleaning and putting shelf paper in my cabinets (I HATE shelf paper: truly, madly, deeply hate it!), which I'm not going to credit with improving my mood because that just doesn't make sense, but at the end of it all I was mostly better.

And then I came home and caught a few rounds of [ profile] bridge2sickbay. This week's theme was AUs. My personal theme this week seems to have also been CRACK. I dunno, folks. I just don't know.

Prompt: Kirk, Chapel, Rand - Nunnery
The Plight of the Rake; Kirk, Chapel, Rand, PG, cracky 'historical' AU )

This one is a melding of two prompts. It just sorta happened.

Prompt: Kirk, Chekov - Police Detectives
Prompt: Kirk, Gaila - Cybersex addicts
Another Day on the Job; (Sam)Kirk, Chekov, Kirk/Gaila, PG-13, crack) )

I was bad and definitely did not stick with the spirit of the prompt, but I couldn't resist the idea of Kirk and McCoy as evil game designers planning to wipe out your entire family on Oregan Trail.

Prompt: Kirk, McCoy - Traveling the Oregon Trail or similar
Creative Minds are Evil; Kirk, McCoy, PG, probably cracky? )

So this piece was an alternative to section 2 (In His Own Med Bay) from A Prize for Good Behavior because the original one I'd written (the one I wound up keeping in the fic) had enough similarities to the +1 section (In His Own Damn Med Bay) that it might throw a reader off. I worried that it lost impact because of the similarities. I also worried that McCoy's sarcasm and continual putting off of Chapel would go against the "being a good patient" theme of this part of the fic too.

I didn't want to lose out on having Christine Chapel in there somewhere being perceptive and supportive (or kickass and take-no-prisoners, as above), so I wrote this as a possible alternative.

Leonard sighed and rubbed a hand across his eyes. )

In the end, the original section 2 was a lot more fun to write and reread and it had more impact on the story, I feel, both for Bones himself and for beginning to hint at Bones & Spock having something going on, even if it kinda reads as preslash at this point. So with the help of my friendly, lovely beta I kept it that way and poor McCoy and Chapel snippet got tossed. Until now, that is.

I have nothing else to offer fandom-wise at the moment, so I thought I'd toss it out there.

I wrote a silly, easter(ish) themed ficlet for the kinkmeme, but haven't decided if I'll post it yet. It's fairly ridiculous, but perhaps I should archive here for the heck of it. Hmmm.

Title: A Prize for Good Behavior
Rating: PG-13
Length: ~4300
Pairing: McCoy/Spock, past McCoy/Jocelyn
Warnings: See pairings, also: kidfic, mild hurt/comfort, elements of schmoop (yeah, it's me, what do you expect?)
Summary: 5 times McCoy was a (mostly) good patient, much to everyone's surprise, and the one time he understandably wasn't.
A/N: Written for this prompt at the [ profile] st_xi_kink_meme. Kindly and perceptively betaed by [ profile] wesleysgirl who is my hero.
